Summer at the Library
The spring semester may be over, but there are still plenty of reasons to come visit the Libraries this summer!
From now until August 4th the Main Library will be open Monday-Thursday from 7:30am-7:00pm, and Friday from 7:30am-5:00pm. The Business Learning and Klai Juba Wald Architectural Studies Library is open from 7:30am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday, and NDSU Archives is open from 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. If an end to the school year doesn’t mean an end to your research, reference librarians are available on chat from 9:00am during open hours, and are staffing the Reference Desk from 5:00pm-7:00pm Monday-Thursday. The library will be closed on weekends throughout the summer, as well as Memorial Day and the 4th of July. For a full list of hours, go here.
Looking for recommendations for your summer book club or to fill some down time at the lake? Take a look at these new books available for checkout!
Patient H.M.: A Story of Madness and Family Secrets, by Luke Dittrich
The Whistler, by John Grisham
The Tea Girl of HummingBird Lane, by Lisa See
Invasion, by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Or, if you can’t decide what you’re in the mood for, take a recommendation from our fabulous student assistants –we’re featuring their summer reading picks on our current book display. This display will change throughout the summer, so make sure to stop by often and see what’s on offer.
We also have a selection of audiobooks and CDs for your weekend road trips, as well as DVDs for when you just want to stay inside and relax. So if you’ve been meaning to watch La La Land, have tedious car time you could use to catch up on Game of Thrones, or want to memorize all the songs from Hamilton –go ahead and sing along, we won’t judge—the library has you covered.
For Faculty members who are planning ahead for next semester, the call for Fall 2017 course reserves will be sent out in July. If you have any questions about course reserves, contact Maddi Melquist by email or at 231-8395.
