The following videos briefly demonstrate how to export references to EndNote Online from a variety of online library databases.
We recommend signing in to your EndNote Online account before starting your search in an EBSCOhost database.
To save one citation at a time:
- Go to the article record page by clicking on the article title in the search results list
- From the record page, click on the Export link the right-side tool bar
- Select the option for Direct Export to EndNote Web and click the Save button
- The selected record has now been added to your EndNote Online library
To save multiple citations at a time:
- From the results page, click the folder icon for each item you want to include
- When ready to export references to EndNote Online, click on Folder on the right side of the top banner
- Select the articles you wish to export
- In the tool bar on the right, click on Export
- Select the option for Direct Export to EndNote Web and then click Save
- The selected records have now been added to your EndNote Online library
To save one or more citations at a time:
- From the results page, click the boxes next to each item you want to include
- Hover the cursor over the Export/Save link in the tool bar at the top of the results list
- Select the EndNote option and then click Continue
- Save the file
- In your EndNote Online account, go to the Collect menu and select Import References
- Click Choose File and select the file you want to upload
- Under import options, select ProQuest. (If you use this database frequently, you can use the Select Favorites link to add ProQuest to a custom list.)
- Choose a group to add the references to
- Click Import
- The records have now been added to your EndNote Online library
- Alternatively, you can save citation's from an item's record page
We recommend signing in to your EndNote Online account before starting your search in Web of Science.
- From the search results page, click the box next to the articles you want to add to your EndNote Online library
- Click the Save to EndNote button at the top of the search results list
- Choose how much information to include and then click Send
- The selected records have now been added to your EndNote Online library
- The EndNote icon appears next to those you have saved to EndNote Online
- Alternatively, you can save to your EndNote Online library from an item's record page
