  2. In your EndNote Online account, hover over the Options tab and click the link for Download  Installers
  3. Click on the link to download windows  installer with Internet Explorer plug-in
  4. Click the save file button
  5. When the download completes, open the file
  6. Your computer may ask you to enter your user credentials to confirm that you wish to install the program
  7. Follow the directions to complete the installation process
  8. Click next  to proceed to each new step
  9. In the Select Features section of the installer:
    1. Choose whether or not to install the Internet Explorer plug-in. This allows you to add references to your EndNote Online library from websites (while using Internet Explorer). If you do not want this option, click the box next to the option and select Entre Feature will be unavailable
    2. Click the box next to Cite While You Write for Microsoft Word, and then select Entire feature will be installed on local hard drive. Sometimes the installer defaults to make it unavailable. If you leave that selected, it will not install the Cite While You Write plug-in.
