Welcome to the North Dakota State University Libraries!
I am pleased that you have discovered our webpage. As you continue your intellectual journey, we are here to cheer for you and provide a wide-ranging support system that will enhance intellectual experience and ensure your success. Our purpose is to provide the best possible access to information, proactively contribute to the success of students and faculty through teaching and research services in physical and virtual settings, and to enhance learning and creativity in support of the University’s strategic priority.
The NDSU Libraries continue to be the academic center of the university by providing their services at the Main Library, Business Learning Center, Germans from Russia Heritage Collection, Klai Juba Wald Architectural Studies Library, NDSU Archives, P.N. Haakenson Health Sciences Library and NDSU Nursing at Sanford Health Library. The Libraries provide stimulating environments that nurture curiosity and create lifelong learners.
Among the greatest accomplishments during the last school year was the completion of the Libraries’ Strategic Plan. The plan is an outgrowth of collegial work that has outlined audacious, measurable, and achievable goals that align with the University’s strategic vision. The entire plan has a considerable level of importance, but to me personally, the desire to bring the archival operations back on the main campus appears to be the most urgent one. Here is the link to the Strategic Plan page where you can learn more about the goals, strategies, action steps, and metrics.
Our staff and librarians are our most valuable resource and we are committed to serving and assisting you in the timely completion of your academic work, research, and projects. The Libraries are more than simply a space to study or to store books. Our libraries offer an exciting array of services, resources, and facilities to meet student and faculty educational and research needs. Services include: 3D Printing, areas for group or quiet study, Presentation Studio, reference and research services, and more. The Main Library building also houses the Math Emporium, Center for Writers, the Honors Program, Disability Services, and the Ombudsperson Office.
Please come visit us at one of the NDSU Libraries locations or contact a librarian to explore how we can be a vital part of your experience at North Dakota State University.
We welcome your comments and suggestions on how we are doing and how we can do better. Please feel free to send your questions and comments to me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org.
