Welcome to NDSU Libraries
I am pleased that you have discovered the NDSU Libraries webpage to explore the services, resources and opportunities that we offer in support of the University’s mission.
The NDSU Libraries continue to be the academic and social center of the university. The libraries provide stimulating environments that nurture curiosity and create lifelong learners. Our ultimate dream is to create an inviting and inspiring space where students can achieve academic success and prepare for their futures.
Last year the library had over 388,351 visitors and 255,951 catalog searches. We taught 5,226 students and answered 7,984 research questions. Our resources include over 224 electronic databases and over 86,334 full-text professional journals and periodicals, which can be accessed on campus at our buildings or remotely. The Libraries house more than 875,000 print monographs and over 44,000 electronic books available for your use. The Interlibrary Loan department provides you with materials that may not be available in our collections and reference librarians are ready to help you with all your information queries.
Our staff and librarians are the most valuable resource and we are committed to serving and assisting you in the timely completion of your academic work, research and projects. The NDSU Libraries are more than simply a space to study or store books. Our libraries offer an exciting array of services, resources, and facilities to meet student and faculty educational and research needs . Services include 3D printing, areas for group or quiet study, reference and research services, and more. The main library building also houses the Math Emporium, Center for Writers, and the Ombudsperson Office.
On behalf of staff, librarians, and administration of the NDSU Libraries, I am especially delighted to welcome the incoming freshmen class and all of our returning sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate students and NDSU faculty to the new academic year.
We welcome your comments and suggestions on how we are doing and how we can do better. Please feel free to send your questions and comments to me directly at email@example.com
