The records and papers collecting program of the NDSU University Archives preserves organizational records and faculty papers of enduring historical value to support the university mission and the research needs of academic and administrative units, undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and other scholars at NDSU and beyond.
Research Tools

The primary research tool to aid researchers in locating useful material is the alphabetical finding aids listing to the collections. Currently the finding aids are being mounted in DSpace software and thus the new listing is not complete. For a complete listing also consult the old listing. The Record Group Classification listing is under construction and will eventually provide links to all finding aids. Only a limited number of University Archives records are cataloged in the NDSU Libraries online catalog.
Access
The records/papers collections are available for research in the Institute/Archives research room, and reference staff is available to assist in your research needs. Copying facilities are also available. A number of collections are kept in off-site storage. At least a 24-hour notice is needed to make these collections available for use.
