Grand Recreation

Grand Recreation (or the "Grand Rec" by which it was familiarly know) was located at 620 First Avenue, just west of Broadway on the south side of the avenue.

I don't know much about the building's earliest history except that it was apparently built in 1898. As early as 1925, it is listed in the Fargo telephone book as the Grand Billiard Parlors. It was still going in 1956.

The Grand Rec was managed by Steve Gorman for most of its history.
