Finding Aids for the NDSU Archives and Germans from Russia Heritage Collection

What are finding aids?

Finding aids are a guide to the contents of a particular collection, similar to the table of contents in a book. They give background information about the collection itself and provide a detailed inventory of items within the collection.

How to search our finding aids:

There are several ways to search our finding aids. Use the search box to enter terms or phrases that may be associated with a collection (e.g. Thorvald Ostbye or bonanza farms). The dropdown menus next to the search box can be used to refine your search.

Use the menu items at the top of the page to search or browse finding aids by repository (Germans from Russia Heritage Collection, Institute for Regional Studies, or University Archives), collection, unprocessed materials, subjects, or names.

How to access the collections:

All Special Collections materials with finding aids can be viewed at the NDSU Archives, located in the West Building at 3551 7th Avenue North. Information about our open hours and duplication services can be found on the NDSU Archives website.
