Scope and Content

From the Collection: The Woman's Club of Fargo Photograph Collection is comprised of 7 photographic prints. The oldest print in the collection is from 1932, taken for the 47th anniversary of the club. It has the original members of the club dressed in period costumes. Women featured on the print are Mrs. C. E. Webster, Mrs. C. M. Pollock, Mrs. John Wooledge, Mrs. J. W. Snyder, Mrs. C. Foster, Mrs. Albert Hallenberg, Mrs. G. A. Carpenter, Mrs. J. G. Dickey, Mrs. F. E. Stockton, Mrs. W. W. Fuller, and Mrs. E. A. Engebretson. Due to the size of the photo, it is house in folder 47 of the Institute’s Photo Folio Collection. A second photograph shows club members taken on March 2, 1941. Five photographs were taken at the club’s 80th Anniversary Celebration held at the First Baptist Church. As part of the celebration, the club’s oldest member Mrs. C. E. Webster was honored. Four of the five photographs were published in the Fargo Forum on September 27, 1964.
