Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Milton E. Beebe Collection has been organized into three series: Blueprint, Exhibit, and Photographs. The entire collection was collected by Ronald Ramsay of the NDSU Architecture Department.
The Blueprint Series spans the years 1900 to 1906. The series consists of five original blueprints and one photocopy of an original blueprint. The original blueprints are for the J.F. Walker building in Fargo, located at 621-623 Broadway and done in 1900-1902. The photocopy is of the Moorhead, Minn. Carnegie Library, done in 1906. The blueprints are in Case Drawer 83, Oversize 18, Folder 9 of the Institute Architectural Drawings Collection.
The Exhibit Series spans the years 1840, when Beebe was born, to 1909. The series was once part of an exhibit in the NDSU Architecture Department on Milton E. Beebe. It contains twentytwo separate sheets, separated into 2 folders. The original arrangement of the exhibit panels is unknown, so an attempt was made to arrange them in a logical exhibit order. The eshibit panels are in Case Drawer 83, Oversize 18, Folder 10 of the Institute Architectural Drawings Collection.
The Photograph Series spans the years 1840 to 1909. The series consists of sixteen prints and several photocopies. It is arranged topically by building type, which was taken from the arrangement within the architectural exhibit from which they originated. Buildings of interest include the Masonic Temple in Fargo, N.D. and the N.D. State Capitol in Bismarck, N.D. Some of the photographs within this series are from the State Historical Society of North Dakota and the Minnesota Historical Society.
