From the Collection:
The Red River Valley Historical Society Photograph Collection has been broken down into six folders. The first folder contains photographs from an awards banquet in April 1969. There are 8 photographs featuring, Martha M.B. Roberts, Orville Harris, Marilyn Clemens, Susan Lander, June Webster, Lea Berg, Diane Gourluck, and Robert Keller receiving awards.
The second folder is from the awards banquet from Spring of 1968. It contains 16 photographs of award winners in group photographs and people receiving awards. This includes the names, John Bergh, Leslie Turner, John Tenney, James Wien, Alan Anderson, Gerald Brekken, Dr. Stanley Murray, Brad Bergan, Lorraine Bitt, Mrs. Elmer Barry, and Pamela Richardson.
The third folder contains 20 photographs from a banquet in March 1969. Many are candid snapshots, mostly unidentified.
The fourth folder is a series of 7 photographs of churches including the Catholic Church in Pisek, N.D., and Assumption Church, Pembina, N.D.
The fifth folder is from a tour of Manitoba, Canada dated September 1967. There are 7 photographs including St. Andrew’s Cemetery and the Paddlewheel Queen steamboat on the Red River at Winnipeg.
The sixth folder is a general file with people associated with the society. They include Father Louis Pfaller, Russell W. Fridley, Dr. P.H.T. Thorlakson, Dr. Elwyn B. Robinson, and a group photo of 1968 board members including the names, Christopher, Lutter, Mary Margaret, B. Myrold, Foley, Capistran, and Green.
