The Frank L. Anders Photograph Collection has been broken down into five series: a Personal Series, the Christopher C. Anders Series, a History Series, an Engineering Series, and a Ceremony Series.
Personal Series is a collection of photos of Anders’ family, vacations, relatives, and locations. The series also has pictures taken by Anders of media biographies, military service certificates, and North Dakota legislative resolutions.
Christopher C. Anders Series is photographs taken by or of Frank Anders’ younger brother Chris. These images are mostly from Chris’ time as a member of the Russian Railway Service Corps in Siberia and Manchuria from 1917-1919, but also his time in the navy during the Spanish-American War.
History Series holds photographs of various military-themed events, from the Spanish-American War, through World War I, and various other historical research topics.
Engineering Series collects photos of engineering projects Frank Anders worked on as Fargo City Engineer (1910-1920) and as construction engineer of the new State Capitol Building in Bismarck (1932-1934).
Ceremony Series has photographs from the various ceremonies Frank Anders attended, including Medal of Honor ceremonies, presidential inaugurations, and other military-related organization events.
