The Jane Skjei Collection includes the following series: National Organization for Women (NOW), Equality of Rights (ERA), Subject Files, U.S. Government Records, Miscellaneous Publications, Family History, Newspaper, Ephemera.
The National Organization for Women (NOW) Series contains materials related to the operation of NOW, including board meetings, bylaws, and correspondence.
The Equality of Rights (ERA) Series contains materials related to the operation and support of the ERA.
The Subject Files Series contains a miscellaneous collection of subjects related to Jane Skjei's work in women's rights movements and advocacy.
The U.S. Government Records Series contains official documents from the U.S. Congress, Sentate, and Department of Justice. The materials are related to the Equality of Rights Act.
The Miscellaneous Publication sieres includes booklets, brochures, and writings in support of women's rights.
The Family History Series includes genealogy materials related to the families of Jane Skjei. Documents include recipes, census records, correspondence, etc.
The Newspapers Series contains newspaper clippings collected by Jane Skjei related to local and national activity in women's rights groups. There is a set of WWII military newspapers called The Stars and Stripes, and a magazine called The Yank.
The Ephemera series consists of a large collection of buttons. Included are buttons related to NOW, ERA, Politicians, and miscellaneous women's rights slogans.
