From the Collection: The G. Angus Fraser Papers consists of various subject files and materials related to General Fraser’s tenure on the Board of State Capitol Commissioners. The interview concerns his early years in Fargo, and comments on the Louisiana lottery and Alexander McKenzie. The file for the North Dakota Adjutant General is a history by General Fraser of the mobilization, in 1917, of reserve forces in North Dakota. The Subject Files also include two copies of the Pinkerton reports, dealing with the establishment of the Louisiana lottery in North Dakota. The material on Simon Fraser, General Fraser’s great-grandfather, consists of typed copies of newspaper clippings, biographies, and correspondence of General Fraser. The North Dakota Board of State Capitol Commissioners Series consists of Fraser and board correspondence, minutes of board meetings, and various subject files, including reports to the board on various topics related to the construction of the capitol.
