From the Collection:
The Jon G. Lindgren Photograph Collection contains photographs that were owned by former Fargo mayor Jon Lindgren. Many capture events during his tenure as mayor. The photographs are organized into five topics: Portraits, Events, People, Natural Disasters, and Bridge.
The Portraits topic contains portraits of Jon Lindgren.
The Events topic contains photographs of events attended by Jon G. Lindgren from 1979-1981 including the Fargo Central High Class of 1929 50th Reunion (1979); the NDSU Food Service Dinner (1980); the 25th Anniversary of the Builders and Realtors Association (1981); and the North Dakota League of Cities Convention (1981).
The People topic contains photographs of people Jon G. Lindgren met including Maynard Jackson, the former mayor of Atlanta, Georgia, and former North Dakota Senator Mark Andrews.
The Natural Disasters topic contains photographs of damage from the 1957 Fargo tornado and aerial photographs of the 1979 Fargo flood.
The Bridge topic contains a photograph of a bridge from 1981 (possibly the 1st Avenue North bridge).
