The A. R. Scherling Christian Literature Book Collection was donated to the NDSU Libraries by the Scherling family in the 1980s. Although processed they were never added to the NDSU Libraries online catalog. In 2008 the book collection was transferred to the Institute for Regional Studies for processing and making the volumes available to the research public, while retaining them as a single collection. The books have been organized generally in alphabetical order by author. Consult the box and folder list for author, title and publisher information. Some of the publications contain handwritten notes and commentary, although not known if by Mr. Scherling. Many of the books deal with Charles G. Finney. Four publications are by Mr. Scherling, including two debates in which he participated.
