Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
This Fargo Forum collection contains 71 photographs of general images related to North Dakota. The eclectic collection has been organized into a single series, organized by topic or person. The images likely were acquired over the years by Forum Publishing or taken by their staff, and no doubt some were published in the Fargo Forum newspaper. The collection ranges from professional portraits of George Hanna and Sitting Bull; aerial views of flood scenes and Fort Abercrombie to snapshots of activities of onion harvesting, plowing and threshing.
Some of the places featured in this collection are: Bald Hill Dam, Clark Dalrymple Farm at Hillsboro, N.D., schools at Davenport and Durbin, Grafton flood scene, International Peace Garden, Peavey elevator, St. Thomas flood, Standing Rock, and Theodore Roosevelt National Memorial Park. Although not taken in North Dakota there is a photograph of a building raising in Sweden. Also of interest are pictures of goose hunters with their catch and NDAC tri-state football champions of 1903.
