From the Collection:
Photocopy of a binder in the chapel of St. Francis Convent in Hankinson, N.D. Obituaries of 97 Franciscan sisters at that convent and four priests, who served as chaplains for the Sisters. Each obituary includes a portrait and biographical information in the form of a letter. Also includes an article written in 1983 about the founder of the order in Germany, Mother Innocentia; a photocopy of a photograph of the 24 Sisters who initially came to the United States; and a 1964 letter from Brother John Anderl discussing moving 7 Sisters from a cemetery near St. John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota, to Hankinson.
