Scope and Contents

From the Collection: The Paul K. Weiser photograph collection contains 22 photographs and 26 film negatives from his time with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, a group photo from the Class of 1942, and various photographs of his musical and professional career in soil conservation. The Aerial Photograph Series takes up the majority of this collection and consists of aerial photographs of bombing sites in Germany, Italy, and Austria during WWII. The Miscellaneous Series consists of a WWII group photo, a group photo of Paul Weiser’s 30 Year Service Award with the Soil Conservation Service, a choral photo, a photo of his 1942 college reunion, and a few other miscellaneous photos. The Soil Conservation Photos file, contains 24 images previously donated in 2008, and include a series of photos taken by the USDA – Soil Conservation Service in 1968, in and around Oliver and Mercer Counties. Also includes two group photos of the attendees of the Soil Survey Report Writers School (1966), and Midwest Soil Correlation Workshop (1968). The Negative Series consists of negatives that appear to have been taken during WWII. Most of the negatives are images of planes, tourist attractions, and leisure activities.
