File — Box: 1, Folder: 20
Scope and Contents
From the Collection:
The Pauline Neher Diede papers include documents relating to Diede’s writing career. Primary among these are clippings of her columns and articles in The Hebron Herald, journalistic awards, and reviews of her books. There are three series in the collection: Newspaper Clippings, Diede Writings, and Subject.
The Newspaper Clippings Series consists exclusively of newspaper clippings. Most of them are of Diede’s weekly column The Prairie Echoes, though some are of other journalistic work. There are also four folders of clippings about Diede and her family. Most of the clippings date from the 1980s.
The Diede Writings Series contains mostly correspondence to and from Diede. In addition, there are also a small handful of drafts of poems and other short pieces.
The Subject Series includes awards Diede received; documentation relating to events she attended or were held in her honor; and eight photographs of Diede and her family.
