Biography

Alfred Aasland, was born on May 26, 1884, to Ole L. and Gunhild (Besrud) Aasland. His father homesteaded land in Elm River Township, Traill County. He also worked for a time with the Grandin bonanza farm. Alfred remained a bachelor, and farmed in the Hillsboro-Kelso area. He died on June 19, 1970, at the age of 86.
