Biography

Amos Virgil Ewen was born in Blanchard, North Dakota on July 21, 1889. He was the son of Daniel C. and Josephine (McQueen) Ewen. He graduated from Mayville High School, and from North Dakota Agricultural College in 1912. He was first a teacher in Argyle, Minnesota, and then was employeed by the Extension department at N.D.A.C. until 1918, when he returned to Mayville to farm. He married Ruby Jefson in 1928, and they had two sons, Clark and Clyde, and a daughter, Mary. Amos died on October 18, 1955, in Mayville.
