History

Born at Berwick, Penn., family moved to Dilworth, Minn. Returned to Schenectady, N.Y. in 1909. Moved back to Dilworth, Minn. in 1922, started boxing professionally under the name "The Fargo Express" with trainer and manager, Jack Hurley, in a Fargo, N.D. gym. Retired from boxing in 1934. Owned a foundry business in Duluth, Minn., later, a religious gift store. Wed Antoinette Rich in 1926.
