Biography

Born at Katesbridge, County Down, Ireland, apprenticed to a blacksmith. Emigrated in 1892 to Grandin, N.D. Worked for Robert E. Miller, bought the blacksmith shop in Kelso, N.D. Married Amelia A. Burg. Sold out and established a smithy in Hampden, N.D. with Robert E. Miller. Sold out, moved to Loma, N.D., sold John Deere farm machinery for one year, sold out and moved to Fargo, N.D.
