Biography

Elva Duncanson Preston was born to Joseph and Ellen (McCarthy) Duncanson on April 18, 1883 in Glyndon, Minnesota. She married Arthur M. Preston on June 17, 1922 in Snohomish, Washington. She eventually became a teacher in the Belllingham, Washington area. Not much is known about her life in Washington, or how she ended up in San Francisco, where she died November 5, 1966 at Little sisters of the Poor.
