Correspondence, typed summary of interview (13 leaves) with Leonard Sackett, and the original handwritten copy (40 leaves) and a typed copy (23 leaves) of his recollections titled "Some recollections of Halbert L. Webb," which concerns his parents, the Eugene Grant family, H.D. Cooke, Reception House, George S. Barnes, F.A. Paige family, his apprenticeship, working with various newspapers, his postmaster job at Glyndon, Minn., a dairy partnership with his father, his farming experiences, the military career of his son, John Webb, farm machinery, and a very brief history of the Barnes and Tenney bonanza farm. Also includes newspaper clippings.

Biography

Born at Elkhorn, Wisconsin, son of Robert Bruce and Amy (Jewell) Webb. Moved with his family to Glyndon, Minn. in 1878. Apprenticed to a printer, worked with various newspapers in N.D. and Minnesota. Began farming in 1903, wed Ellen Belle Bishop in 1900, quit farming in 1907. They moved to Glyndon, Minn. in 1911 where he served as postmaster from 1912-1919, returned to farming. Died in Glyndon, Minn.
