Biography
Homer Edwin Dixon was born on August 27, 1891, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Jessie E. and Laura (Wiley) Dixon. He was a graduate North Dakota Agricultural College in 1915, and was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity. After graduation he was hired by the Perham Public Schools to be instructor of agriculture, and was involved in 4-H Club work. After that he worked as an automobile salesman in Grand Forks, N.D. In 1923 he married Frances Irene Murphy, and they had two sons Edwin and Alexander
In the 1930s and 1940s, he worked as a manager of the Kedney Warehouse Co., and then as a salesman for United Funds Inc. Sometime after 1959, the couple moved from Grand Forks. They lived for a time on Lake Melissa near Detroit Lakes. Homer Dixon in January 1976 in Birmingham, Alabama.
