Mentions the livestock and acreage at Grandin Farm, Oliver Dalrymple, immigrant farm laborers, James McKissick's education and various jobs as farmer, milk truck driver, butcher shop owner, hog shrinker and a hired man who set fire to McKissick's barns.

Biography
Born at Elbridge, N.Y., came to Dwight Farm, Richland County, N.D., with his parents, Charles and Lizzie Koster McKissick, sent back to N.Y. to live with grandparents after the death of his mother. Returned to Mayville, N.D. where his father was manager of Grandin Farm No. 1. Attended Mayville High School, attended Fargo College, worked on Grandin Farm No. 1, left at age 20 to farm his father's land near Casselton. Wed Clara Trammell in 1898, farmed, worked with his father and uncle Norman as a livestock salesman, delivered milk in Saint Paul, Minn., owned a butcher shop in a partnership, sold Oldsmobile cars, employed by state of Minnesota as a hog shrinker, chauffeured for Charles L. Johnson of Saint Paul. Retired to Saint Paul, Minn.
