Biography

Born Dodge County, Wisc., son of John and Wilhelmina (Krueger) Polfuss, German immigrants who first settled near Breckenridge, Minn. in 1874. Later, the family moved to Richland County, N.D. John C. wed Martha Krause in 1893. Farmed near Hankinson, N.D. Elected Richland County commissioner 19101914, served in North Dakota House of Representatives 1925-1928. Died at Mantador, N.D.
