Biography

Born at Ontario, Canada on October 25, 1867 to John McCallum and Ann Morrison McCallum. Trained as a blacksmith, worked as farm laborer at the farm of Nelson Finney's father, 1891. Employed as blacksmith at the Kelso Farm near Hallock, Minn. in 1894. Set up blacksmith shop in 1895 with Joe Dillon in Northcote, Minn. McCallum moved to Humboldt, Minn. in 1904 and took over blacksmith shop. He married Edith Irwin in 1898 in Minnesota. He retired in 1942 and died on June 4, 1962 in Kittson, Minnesota.
