Biography

Born near Holmes City, Minn. Orphaned at age six, worked as a field hand on the Adams Farm (also known as Fairview Farm), Mooreton, N.D., worked briefly for the railroad, later repaired and maintained farm equipment. Wed Volle Olsen in 1927; she died in 1956. Retired to Fargo, N.D.
