Biography

Dave Bateman grew up in Arkansas where he was born in 1911. He was an extension agent there before coming to Fargo, N.D. in 1954 and worked for the NDSU Extension Service until he retired in 1966. He also was a farm consultant to WDAY radio and television from 1954 to 1966 and farm director from 1966 to 1978. His farm show 'This Business of Farming' was the longest running farm show by any single sponsor in the country. He died in May 1983.
