Biography
William Fredrick Fredrickson was born 14 Jul 1884 in Lee Township, Norman County, Minnesota to Adam and Ingeborg “Marie” (Sovda) Fredrickson. He attended local schools and grew to manhood on the family farm. He farmed with his father and later his brother on their farm in Section 35 of Lee Township. He had one full brother and a foster sister.
William married Nellie “Nell” Harrington at Lewiston, Idaho on March 10, 1921. Nell and William were the parents of one child who died at birth. William farmed with his brother Henry. He was the first chairman in Norman County for the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service, and was a member of Northwest Improvement Association. He also served on the Lee Township Board.
He was involved in a fatal accident near Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Oct. 29, 1968. His brother, Henry, also died as a result of this accident. They were traveling to their winter home in Brownsville, Texas.
