Biography

William R. Jordan was born April 15, 1884 in Dubuque, Iowa to John Schuyler and Eva Jane (Nitterauer) Jordan. Not much is known of William’s life before moving to North Dakota around 1911. In 1912, William married Mabel Bolstad. They would have five children, John Winston, David Skaar, William Chase, Ruth Marie, and Richard Ivor. The Jordan family would live in several places in North Dakota including Luverne and Page.

William died in Billings, Montana on February 27, 1968. Mable followed on July 31, 1968 in Cass County, North Dakota. Both are buried in Luverne Cemetery in Luverne, North Dakota.
