Biography

Zachariah was born in the Värmland Sweden on November 28, 1835 to Lars and Maja (Jakobsdotter) Munter. He lived in and farmed in Sweden for a time where he met his wife, Charlotta Falk Andreasdotter (1840-1911) from West Jutland, Sweden. They married in Sweden in 1861. They eventually immigrated and arrived in St. Cloud, Minn. in 1869. They lived in a couple of places in Minnesota but they eventually moved to Caledonia, Traill County, N.D. in 1871. They had at least six children. Both Zachariah and Charlotta died in Tacoma, Washington, he on January 3, 1918 and she on October 3, 1911.
