Scope and Contents

The Arthur E. Hedlund Papers consist of various newspaper clippings of Hedlund's life, including his obituary. Also included are Hedlund's Civil Service exam scores, various Civil Service documents, some pamphlets about retirement, and a questionnaire from the Congress of the United States Joint Commission on Postal Salaries, filled out by Hedlund. The collection also contains two U.S. Post Office hats, as well as an Ancient Order of United Workmen hat.

Arthur E. Hedlund was born on November 18, 1888 in Fargo, North Dakota. On July 31, 1932, Hedlund married Alma M. Folvig. Hedlund was a mail carrier in Fargo from 1915 to 1955. He died on July 23, 1960.
