Scope and Contents

The collection contains four letters to the editor of the Fargo Forum, regarding their coverage of the blizzard of March 15, 1941, as well as the editor’s replies. In the letters several recollections are made of earlier blizzards in 1888, 1891 and 1897. There is also a letter from the United States Weather Bureau forwarding their correspondence to Sen. William Langer explaining their forecasting of the storm.

On March 15, 1941, North Dakota was struck by a massive blizzard, whichith took the lives of 151 people in North Dakota and Minnesota.
