Biography
Zona Adila McArthur was born on March 19, 1921 to Herbert Raymond and Mary Anne McArthur in Minnesota . She attended Valley City High School and Graduated in 1938. She then moved to Alaska to attend college and moved back to Fargo, North Dakota in the 1950s. Her family owned a fur farm and travelled back and forth to Alaska frequently. She spent her adult life as a Shorthand Reporter and legal secretary under Judge Ronald N. Davies and Judge Paul Benson. She won numerous awards and honors for her work and even served as a court reporter on high profile cases such as the desegregation cases in Little Rock, Arkansas in the 1960s. Zona passed away on March 10, 2007 at the age of 85.
