Biography

John E. Monzingo was born June 1, 1934 in Fairview, Oklahoma. He received his bachelor’s degree from California State University – Los Angeles in 1965. He would also receive his Masters in 1967 from the same intuition. In addition to his degrees there, he would also teach Political Science courses. In 1976, he received his P.h.D. from Claremont Graduate School. In 1970, John began teaching at North Dakota State University in the Political Science classes. He would continue to teach at NDSU until 2000 when he retired as an associate professor.

John married Carolyn Berry August 10, 1963 in Pasadena, California. They have two children, Peter, born in 1972, and Elizabeth, born in 1974.
