Biography

Argusville is a town located in Cass County, North Dakota. It was settled in 1880 and founded in 1881 by Frank W. Aldrich. It is named for the first daily newspaper in North Dakota, the Daily Argus, which had begun in 1879. While the school district, #58, was established in April of 1881, there are no records available until 1906. August Erickson established a post office in town in 1901 and the first high school was started in 1921. Argusville was incorporated in 1921 to include parts of Harwood Township and Berlin Township.

The current population of Argusville is 475 as of the 2010 census.
