Scope and Contents

The Record Book Series consists of meeting minutes and attendance records for the club. The Constitution Series consists of the Cavalier County and Community Educational Council Constitution, the Homemaker’s Club constitution and By-Laws. The Event Series consists of information on the ND State Barley Show, the Homemaker’s Club Poetry contest, and letters about their events and programs. The Scrapbook Series consists of two paper scrapbooks that includes photographs, memos, and programs.

The object of the Happy Hour Homemakers Club is to study and put into practice information on homemaking. By using the name of Homemakers, the club must be associated with the Extension Service of NDSU. The purpose of the Extension Service of NDSU Homemakers Club is to unify the interests and efforts of all family and community Education Clubs in counties across the state, to cooperate with the County Extension Office and Extension Division of the North Dakota State University. The Happy Hour Homemakers members participated in poetry contests through the State Homemakers Cultural Art Program, and a State Barley Show.
