Biography
Golden Ridge Lutheran Church was formed in the early 1950s and a pastor, George Unruh was formally called in 1955. At that time, there were 90 members who transferred their membership from the American Lutheran Church (now Peach Lutheran) to Golden Ridge. In 1956, a new church was dedicated and had over 300 members. In 1957, the June tornado swept through Fargo, North Dakota, particularly the Golden Ridge neighborhood and destroyed the newly built church. The church held services in the basement following the tornado. The church was rebuilt and has continued its ministry ever since.
