History
The North Dakota Cattle Women’s Association was formed in 1951. Originally named the North Dakota Cowbelles, they underwent a name change in 1986 after the National Cowbelles voted to change their name to the American National Cattle Women, Inc. The North Dakota Cattle Women promote the livestock industry as an auxiliary of the North Dakota Stockman’s Association and as an affiliate of the American National Cattle Women’s Association. The NDCW works closely in conjunction with the North Dakota Stockmen’s Association and the North Dakota Beef Commission to expand promotion, education and research for the livestock industry.
The NDCW Association has nine membership districts throughout the state. Meetings for the NDCW Board of Directors and the NDCW Executive Committee are held monthly with an Annual Meeting held in June of each year.
