Biography

Great Plains software firm established in 1981 with headquarters in Fargo, N.D. The company was originally started by Katherine Kilbourne Burgum and her family using a DOS type system for managing their businesses. Doug Burgum took over the company as it’s president until it was purchased by Microsoft in 2001.
