Biography

Fargo High School was built in 1882 on Second and Third Avenues S, between 10th and 11th Streets in Fargo, North Dakota. It was used for grades 1-12 and had three stories. It was expanded in 1900. In 1916, the school was destroyed by fired. Fargo Central High School was built on the same site in 1921. On the afternoon of April 19, 1966, Fargo Central High School was destroyed again by fire. The school was evacuated and it took over 4 hours to contain the fire. After this fire, Fargo Central High school ceased to exist. No buildings are left of Fargo Central High. The Cass County Annex, on 2nd Avenue, currently sits on part of the Fargo Central High grounds.
