Biography

The first meeting of the North Dakota Boys State (which was a part of American Legion) was first held in Wahpeton in 1938. At this meeting there were 238 delegates. Each year a meeting is held and officers are elected. This program was originally put forth at the Illinois State American Convention that a Boys State be made national through the Americanism program of the Legion.
