This alphabetical listing is for hard copy issues of various Fargo and Moorhead newspapers, including school newspapers that are available in the Archives Research Room. An * denotes those newspaper editions which are indexed in the North Dakota Biography Index. All other North Dakota towns are listed separately. Consult the microfilm listing for runs available of Fargo newspapers.
As of March 18, 2021, the folder containing the Fargo Daily Republican was missing with the following issues listed on the former inventory: - Nov. 11, 1881-May 29, 1884 (Also on microfilm); - Nov. 17, 1884; - July 23-24, 1885; - July 26, Dec. 31, 1886; - Mar. 14, 22, Aug. 26, Dec. 23, 1887; - April 30, Sept. 12, 1889; - Feb. 8, 1890; - Feb. 11-12, 17, 1892; - March 4, June 8, 1893; - Aug. 29, 1894 (Weekly for Feb. 17, 1892, May 8, 1894).

The Fargo (N.D.) & Moorhead (Minn.) newspaper collection is a manufactured collection, made up of various special editions and rare copies of newspapers publishers in the cities of Fargo, N.D. and Moorhead, Minn. Many have been collected from various donors from the founding of the Institute for Regional Studies Archives to the present. The collection is a living collection that likely have future expansion.
