Scope and Content

The Transportation Photograph Collection contains general images of highways, roads and bridges in the state of North Dakota. A number of the photographs are stamped with the North Dakota Travel Division. They include views of Interstate Highway 94 (I-29) in the North Dakota Badlands, an aerial view over an interchange on I-29, two postcards and a print of the Four Bears Bridge at New Town, an interstate highway view with a oil refinery in the background, a "Welcome to North Dakota Roughrider Country" road sign, and two prints of rest areas, one identified as taken in 1960 along U.S. Highway 10 six miles east of Dickinson.
