The Duane E. Lund Photograph Collection contains 6 photographic prints. Two photographs are of him as a young child playing in the sand, and one is a studio portrait perhaps from his high school years. The final three are from his military career, with him seated in a airplane cockpit, and two of him dressed in military uniform.

Biography

Duane E. Lund was born in 1923 at Kenmare, N.D. and lived in a number of towns in North Dakota. He entered the United States Army in 1944 and trained as a pilot. After being discharged in 1945 he lived in Fargo, N.D. and joined the North Dakota Air National Guard. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1951 and died in the service in 1952.
