Biography
James Moody Watson was born at Titusville, Pennsylvania on October 26, 1850. He arrived in North Dakota in 1879, first settling in Cass County, North Dakota. The family moved to Casselton, North Dakota in 1894. He was elected to North Dakota legislature, representing Cass County in 1890 and Stutsman County in 1900.
In 1875 he married Alice M. Little. They had at least four children, Zoe, LaMott, Lewis, and John. In addition to being an elected official, James was also the manager of Watson Farm, owned by his uncle, Lewis F. Watson.
James died June 9, 1907 in Casselton, North Dakota and is buried in Kensal, North Dakota.
